What brings you here?

People rarely walk into therapy with a perfectly organized list of problems.

More often, they walk in with a sense that something isn’t working the way it used to or the way they want it to.

The sections below describe some of the most common reasons people reach out, but they aren’t boxes you have to fit into.

They’re simply places to begin the conversation.

Whether we meet in-person or virtually, we’ll start with what’s been going on in your life, get curious about the patterns that have brought you here, and figure out together what moving forward looks like for you.

ADHD

ADHD affects far more than attention.

It can make everyday responsibilities feel overwhelming, turn simple tasks into mountains, create friction in relationships, and leave you wondering why life seems easier for everyone else.

Together, we’ll work to better understand how ADHD shows up in your life while building practical strategies that work with your brain—not against it.

Anxiety
& Overthinking

Sometimes your mind just won’t slow down.

Maybe you’re replaying conversations, worrying about the future, second-guessing yourself, or feeling like you’re always waiting for something to go wrong.

Therapy isn’t about eliminating anxiety completely. It’s about developing a different relationship with it so it no longer gets to make all the decisions.

Relationships
& Dating

Relationships can be some of the most meaningful—and frustrating—parts of being human.

Whether you’re dating, navigating a breakup, struggling to communicate, or noticing the same patterns showing up over and over again, therapy offers a place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and begin responding differently.

Sometimes changing a relationship starts with understanding yourself.

Cannabis
& Addiction

Our relationship with substances is often more complicated than simply deciding whether they’re “good” or “bad.”

Maybe you’ve been thinking about cutting back. Maybe you’ve tried to quit before. Maybe you’re not even sure it’s something you want to change.

Therapy offers a space to explore those questions without judgment and decide what kind of relationship you want to have moving forward.

Life Transitions

Not every struggle comes with a diagnosis.

Sometimes life simply feels…off.

You might be feeling burned out, disconnected, uncertain about your next step, or trying to adjust to a major change in your life.

Those moments deserve just as much attention as any diagnosis.

You don’t need the “right” reason to come to therapy.

A space to actually slow down.

There’s something different about stepping away from your usual environment and having a dedicated space to talk, think, and work through what’s been going on.

For clients who prefer meeting face-to-face, I offer in-person therapy in Washington, D.C., alongside virtual sessions for those who prefer the flexibility of meeting online.

My Work With Teens

While much of my practice focuses on adults, I also work with teenagers navigating ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationships, school, life changes, and the general complexity of figuring out who you are while growing up.

Therapy gives you a space to talk honestly about what’s going on without needing to have all the answers — or even know exactly where to begin.

We’ll start with what’s happening in your life right now and work from there.

Ready to Get Started?

Finding the right therapist is a personal decision.

If you’ve made it this far, you probably have a sense of whether my approach feels like a good fit.

If it does, I’d love to start with a conversation and hear what’s bringing you here.
